Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in acute care settings including ICU, ER, and medical-surgical units
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precise documentation
- Monitor patient vitals and respond rapidly to changes in clinical status
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and facility-specific protocols
- Supervise LPNs and CNAs during assigned shifts
- Participate in rapid response and code blue situations
Qualifications
- Active MI RN license with no disciplinary actions
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience (2 years preferred)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Electronic health record proficiency (EPIC, Cerner, or similar)
- Flexibility to work 8-12 hour shifts on short notice
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments
