Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care in acute care settings including assessments, medication administration, and treatment coordination
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Document patient observations, interventions, and outcomes accurately in electronic health records
- Assist in emergency situations following established protocols and ACLS/BLS guidelines
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and discharge planning
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control standards and HIPAA regulations
Qualifications
- Active Maryland RN license in good standing
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care nursing experience
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred for critical care assignments
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems
