Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care across diverse clinical settings including emergency departments, medical-surgical units, and specialty practices
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and facility protocols
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in EMR systems
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor patient vital signs, symptoms, and response to treatment with clinical judgment
- Provide patient and family education on health conditions, medications, and discharge planning
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the District of Columbia or compact state
- Minimum 1 year of recent clinical nursing experience in acute care settings
- BLS/CPR certification required; ACLS preferred for specialty assignments
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Strong assessment skills and ability to work autonomously in fast-paced environments
