Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, evidence-based patient care across diverse medical units including ER, ICU, and surgical services
- Administer medications, perform diagnostic procedures, and monitor patient vital signs with meticulous attention
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document patient assessments and interventions using Epic EHR systems with precision and timeliness
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations, infection control protocols, and hospital policies
- Provide patient and family education on treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Participate in rapid response teams and code blue emergencies
Qualifications
- Active California RN license (BRN # required)
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience in hospital setting
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with 5+ years experience considered)
- Proficiency in Epic EHR and electronic documentation systems
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response capabilities
- Excellent communication skills with diverse populations
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
