Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including endodontic treatments, restorations, and extractions
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and safety protocols
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for dental procedures
- Implement infection control and sterilization procedures (OSHA compliance)
- Manage patient flow, scheduling, and digital charting using Dentrix software
- Provide patient education on post-operative care and oral hygiene
- Order inventory and maintain dental supply organization
Qualifications
- Accredited Dental Assistant program certification or equivalent experience
- Indiana Dental Assistant Radiographer license required
- Minimum 2 years chairside experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR certification and BLS certification
- Strong communication skills for patient interactions
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to HIPAA compliance
