Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, surgical, and cosmetic treatments
- Take and develop precise dental radiographs using digital imaging systems
- Manage sterilization protocols and maintain OSHA-compliant instrument processing
- Prepare treatment rooms, materials, and equipment for efficient patient flow
- Delicate patient education on oral hygiene and post-procedure care instructions
- Coordinate digital charting and practice management software operations
- Oversee inventory control and ordering of dental supplies
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or registered with Texas State Board of Dental Examiners
- Current CPR/BLS certification and X-ray radiation safety permit
- 2+ years chairside experience with advanced restorative procedures
- Mastery of digital radiography (Dexis/Sirona) and practice management software
- Exceptional communication skills for patient education and team collaboration
- Strong organizational abilities in fast-paced clinical environments
- Commitment to continuous education in dental technologies
