Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative treatments and oral surgeries
- Prepare treatment rooms with instruments, materials, and equipment sterilization protocols
- Take digital dental impressions and process radiographs using modern imaging systems
- Manage patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Maintain accurate digital patient records and inventory management systems
- Coordinate seamless patient flow between hygiene and treatment areas
- Implement strict infection control protocols exceeding OSHA standards
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or RDA certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft/Dentrix practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification and current Hawaii dental radiography license
- Exceptional chairside assisting skills for complex restorative cases
- Strong attention to detail and infection control compliance
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environment
- Warm, patient-focused communication style
