Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, surgical, and orthodontic treatments
- Prepare and maintain sterile instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms
- Take accurate dental radiographs (X-rays) and impressions
- Manage patient scheduling, recall systems, and digital records
- Provide chairside assistance with infection control protocols
- Deliver post-operative instructions and patient education
- Order inventory and manage dental supplies efficiently
Qualifications
- Active Colorado Dental Assistant certification or DANB registration
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
