Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for treatment by taking medical histories and vital signs
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument sterilization and material preparation
- Manage patient records and digital imaging systems accurately
- Perform chairside assistance for complex restorative and cosmetic procedures
- Ensure operatory cleanliness and strict infection control protocols
- Manage inventory and ordering of dental supplies
- Provide post-operative care instructions to patients
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or DANB certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- CPR certification and current BLS certification
