Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures
- Sterilize equipment and maintain strict infection control protocols
- Manage patient scheduling and digital charting
- Provide chairside support and patient education
- Monitor inventory and order dental supplies
Qualifications
- Current Texas Dental Assistant certification or RDA license
- Minimum 1 year clinical dental assisting experience
- Certification in dental radiography (DANB or equivalent)
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and dental software (e.g., Dentrix)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- CPR/BLS certification
- High school diploma or GED required
