Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations and extractions
- Take and develop accurate dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Manage patient flow and ensure sterilization of instruments
- Prepare treatment rooms and materials for dental procedures
- Educate patients on post-treatment care and oral hygiene
- Maintain digital dental records and inventory supplies
- Coordinate with insurance providers and office staff
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or graduation from accredited program
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a dental setting
- Valid Virginia dental radiography certification
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft or similar dental software
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Exceptional communication and multitasking abilities
- Strong attention to detail and infection control knowledge
