Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, surgical, and orthodontic treatments
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following OSHA protocols
- Take and develop dental radiographs with digital imaging systems
- Manage patient records and chairside documentation using Eaglesoft software
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide oxide monitoring
- Provide patient education on post-operative care and oral hygiene
- Order inventory and maintain dental supply organization
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- Excellent interpersonal skills for patient communication
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and infection control knowledge
- Valid Massachusetts dental assisting license
