Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments per OSHA standards
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and restock as needed
- Educate patients on post-procedure care and oral hygiene
- Coordinate patient scheduling and maintain electronic records
- Assist with digital impressions and intraoral photography
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (RDA or DA preferred)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with dental radiography and sterilization protocols
- Excellent communication skills and chairside manner
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong attention to detail and infection control compliance
