Responsibilities
- Chairside assistance during restorative, cosmetic, and surgical procedures
- Perform digital radiography and intraoral photography
- Manage sterilization protocols and OSHA compliance
- Prepare treatment rooms and instrument trays
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide monitoring
- Implement infection control protocols per CDC guidelines
- Assist with patient education and post-op care instructions
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state-recognized)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft/Dentrix practice management software
- Strong knowledge of dental radiography techniques
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Valid North Carolina dental radiography permit
