Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Perform chairside duties including instrument transfer, suction management, and four-handed dentistry
- Execute digital radiography and intraoral imaging with precision and efficiency
- Maintain strict infection control protocols and sterilization procedures per OSHA guidelines
- Manage patient flow, appointment scheduling, and digital chart documentation
- Provide chairside education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care instructions
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal inventory management
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state equivalent) required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography (Dexis/Sidexis) and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification with current renewal
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, HIPAA, and dental board regulations
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Spanish language proficiency highly desirable
