Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, orthodontic, and surgical treatments
- Perform chairside support with four-handed dentistry techniques and instrument transfer
- Manage digital radiography systems and intraoral imaging for accurate diagnostics
- Implement rigorous infection control protocols and sterilization procedures (OSHA compliance)
- Oversee inventory management of dental supplies and restorative materials
- Deliver exceptional patient education on oral hygiene and treatment procedures
- Coordinate patient flow between exam rooms and treatment areas
Qualifications
- Current Michigan Dental Assistant certification or DANB certification
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a general or specialty dental practice
- Proficiency with digital radiography (X-ray) and practice management software
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards
- CPR/BLS certification from an accredited provider
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
