Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative treatments and oral surgeries
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain optimal inventory levels
- Capture and process digital dental radiographs with precision
- Manage patient charts and electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Administer local anesthetics and nitrous oxide under dentist supervision
- Provide chairside assistance during crown/bridge procedures and orthodontic adjustments
- Educate patients on post-operative care and oral hygiene techniques
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification from CODA-accredited program
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography (Dexis/Sirona) and Eaglesoft software
- CPR/BLS certification (must maintain current status)
- Oklahoma State Dental Board license in good standing
- Exceptional communication skills for patient education and team coordination
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
