Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following OSHA protocols
- Take and develop dental radiographs with precision and patient safety
- Manage patient records using our advanced digital dental software (Dentrix/Eaglesoft)
- Provide chairside support during procedures including suctioning and instrument transfer
- Administer patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Oversee inventory management and supply ordering for clinical efficiency
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or graduate from accredited dental assisting program
- Kentucky Dental Assistant license in good standing
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with digital radiography and dental imaging systems
- Strong knowledge of infection control and HIPAA compliance
- Excellent chairside manner and ability to calm anxious patients
- CPR certification and BLS training
- Spanish language skills highly desirable
