Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and cosmetic treatments
- Perform chairside support, instrument sterilization, and OSHA compliance
- Take and develop diagnostic dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Manage patient flow and prepare treatment rooms efficiently
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide monitoring
- Maintain accurate digital patient records and inventory systems
- Deliver post-operative instructions and emergency care protocols
- Train new assistants on practice-specific workflows
Qualifications
- Dental assisting certification from CODA-accredited program
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Current CPR/BLS certification and radiology license
- Mastery of Eaglesoft/Dentrix practice management software
- Exceptional chairside manner and infection control expertise
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced surgical environments
- Strong knowledge of dental materials and instrumentation
- Pennsylvania dental radiology permit required
