Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures, including instrument preparation and patient positioning
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision
- Manage patient records and scheduling via our cloud-based system (remote admin tasks possible)
- Sterilize equipment and maintain clinical hygiene standards
- Prepare treatment rooms and materials for dental procedures
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education
- Order supplies and manage inventory efficiently
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification in Virginia
- Minimum 2 years of clinical dental assisting experience
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft/Dentrix practice management software
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols (OSHA/CDC)
- Excellent communication skills for patient interactions
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility for hybrid schedule (clinical + remote admin tasks)
- CPR certification required
