Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including sterilization, instrument preparation, and patient support
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) following safety protocols
- Manage patient records and digital charting systems
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal infection control standards
- Administer patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Coordinate front desk operations including scheduling and billing assistance
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and order necessary materials
Qualifications
- Accredited Dental Assistant program certification or equivalent experience
- Current DANB or North Carolina Dental Board certification
- CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix)
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and chairside manner
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
