Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations, crowns, and oral surgery
- Take accurate dental radiographs (X-rays) and develop diagnostic films
- Manage sterilization protocols and OSHA compliance for all instruments
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal inventory of dental supplies
- Deliver exceptional patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Maintain precise digital charting and patient records using Dentrix software
- Coordinate seamless scheduling and communication between patients and specialists
Qualifications
- Current Washington State Dental Assistant certification (DAEF or DALEF)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and intraoral imaging
- CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers)
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and HIPAA compliance
- Experience with practice management software (Dentrix/Eaglesoft preferred)
- Ability to multitask efficiently in fast-paced clinical environments
