Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, surgical, and orthodontic treatments
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following OSHA protocols
- Take accurate dental radiographs and maintain digital patient records
- Manage patient flow, ensuring efficient appointment scheduling and chairside assistance
- Administer infection control protocols and maintain sterile clinical environments
- Provide post-operative instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene best practices
Qualifications
- Active NJ Dental Assistant certification and radiology permit
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a general or specialty dental practice
- Proficiency in dental software (Dentrix/Eaglesoft preferred)
- CPR certification and knowledge of HIPAA compliance
- Exceptional chairside manner with strong patient communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to clinical excellence
