Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Take and develop dental X-rays with precision and care
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for optimal efficiency
- Implement strict sterilization protocols to maintain OSHA compliance
- Manage patient flow, scheduling, and digital record management
- Provide post-operative care instructions and patient education
- Assist with front desk duties including check-in/out and insurance verification
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or X-ray license (TX State Board)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical dental assisting experience
- Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft)
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- CPR certification preferred
