Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations, extractions, and endodontics
- Perform chairside duties: instrument transfer, suction management, and four-handed dentistry
- Execute infection control protocols and sterilization procedures per OSHA standards
- Capture diagnostic dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and patient comfort
- Manage patient flow: room prep, charting updates, and post-op instructions
- Coordinate digital imaging using intraoral cameras and CBCT scanners
- Maintain operatory inventory and assist with supply ordering
Qualifications
- Current Oregon Dental Assistant certification or DANB registration
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Expertise in digital radiography (Dexis/Sirona preferred)
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols
- CPR/BLS certification (maintained)
- Exceptional communication skills for patient education
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Eaglesoft or dental practice management software
