Responsibilities
- Perform accurate blood collections using venipuncture and capillary techniques
- Process and label specimens following strict protocols
- Ensure HIPAA compliance in all documentation and communications
- Collaborate with remote clinical coordinators for patient scheduling
- Maintain sterile equipment and inventory management systems
- Provide patient education on pre-test preparations
- Utilize telehealth platforms for virtual consultations
Qualifications
- Current Michigan Phlebotomy Technician certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in phlebotomy
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Exceptional communication and telehealth skills
- Ability to work independently with remote oversight
- BLS/CPR certification
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
- Experience with pediatric and geriatric populations preferred
