Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during treatment procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and care
- Manage patient records and maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Ensure sterilization and maintenance of dental instruments and equipment
- Prepare treatment rooms and materials for efficient workflow
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
- Coordinate patient scheduling and front-desk operations as needed
Qualifications
- Accredited Dental Assistant program certification or equivalent experience
- Current Texas State Dental Assistant license (RDA preferred)
- Active CPR certification
- Experience with digital radiography and practice management software
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols (OSHA standards)
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
