Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields and surgical instruments for diverse procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations with precise instrument passing
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
- Count and track surgical supplies/equipment pre/post-procedure
- Transport patients and equipment efficiently between departments
- Document procedures accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams seamlessly
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years hospital OR experience preferred
- Flexibility to work evenings/weekends as needed
- Knowledge of general surgery instrumentation and protocols
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to adapt to rotating surgical specialties
- Current BLS certification maintained
