Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
- Take dental X-rays and impressions accurately
- Manage patient charts and digital records using Dentrix software
- Provide post-operative instructions and chairside assistance
- Order inventory and maintain dental supply levels
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and OSHA standards
Qualifications
- Active Ohio Dental Assistant certification (DANB or equivalent)
- 2+ years clinical experience in a dental practice
- Proficiency with digital radiography and impression techniques
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Experience with dental practice management software
