Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations, extractions, and orthodontic work
- Take and develop dental radiographs with precision and safety
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for all procedures
- Maintain strict sterilization protocols and infection control standards
- Manage patient records and digital charting using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software
- Provide chairside comfort and education to anxious patients
- Coordinate scheduling and patient flow for seamless daily operations
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year chairside experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in dental radiography and X-ray techniques
- Expertise in sterilization protocols and OSHA compliance
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and instruments
- CPR/BLS certification required
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced clinical settings
