Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques
- Manage patient flow from check-in to post-op care with exceptional bedside manner
- Sterilize instruments and maintain OSHA-compliant operatory protocols
- Take accurate dental radiographs and process digital images
- Prepare treatment rooms and materials for efficient case management
- Implement infection control protocols exceeding industry standards
- Assist with administrative tasks including scheduling and insurance verification
Qualifications
- Current RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) license in California
- 2+ years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography (X-rays) and dental software (Epic, Dentrix)
- CDA (Certified Dental Assistant) or EFDA (Expanded Functions) preferred
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Exceptional communication and multitasking abilities
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient privacy regulations
