Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and patient examinations
- Prepare patients for treatments and maintain examination rooms
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and basic lab tests
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Schedule appointments and handle patient communications
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and clinic safety protocols
- Inventory medical supplies and equipment maintenance
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Graduation from accredited medical assistant program preferred
- CPR/BLS certification (will provide training)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical settings
- Basic computer proficiency with EHR systems
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Valid Texas driver's license if traveling between sites
