Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including oral surgery, restorations, and endodontics
- Prepare and sterilize instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms following OSHA protocols
- Take and develop dental radiographs with precision and patient comfort
- Manage patient flow, scheduling, and recall systems to optimize practice efficiency
- Provide chairside assistance during procedures and ensure patient comfort
- Maintain accurate digital patient records and clinical documentation
- Train on and utilize advanced dental technologies including intraoral cameras and digital imaging
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DANB or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a general or specialty dental practice
- Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix) and digital radiography
- CPR/BLS certification with current renewal
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to ease anxious patients
- Strong attention to detail and infection control expertise
- Pennsylvania dental radiography license or willingness to obtain
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
