Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Take and develop diagnostic dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision
- Perform comprehensive sterilization protocols and maintain OSHA compliance
- Manage patient flow and prepare treatment rooms with efficiency
- Take accurate dental impressions and fabricate temporary crowns
- Implement infection control standards and maintain equipment functionality
- Provide chairside support and patient education on oral hygiene
- Assist with digital record management and practice software
Qualifications
- Current DANB certification or state Dental Assistant license (required)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in dental radiography (intraoral/extraoral)
- Expertise in infection control and sterilization protocols
- Strong knowledge of dental materials and instruments
- CPR/BLS certification (must maintain current status)
- Exceptional communication skills and chairside manner
- Ability to multitask in high-volume clinical settings
