Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for treatment, including taking vital signs and medical history updates
- Assist dentists during procedures by passing instruments, suctioning, and ensuring patient comfort
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and safety protocols
- Perform infection control and sterilization of dental instruments and equipment
- Manage patient scheduling, inventory, and supply ordering for the dental operatory
- Provide post-operative instructions and follow-up care guidance to patients
- Maintain accurate digital patient records and treatment documentation
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification from CODA-accredited program
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and dental sterilization protocols
- Excellent communication skills and patient bedside manner
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Colorado dental radiography license preferred
