Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative treatments and oral surgeries
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments while maintaining OSHA compliance
- Take and develop accurate dental X-rays using digital radiography systems
- Manage patient records and digital charting with practice management software
- Provide chairside support and four-handed dentistry assistance
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide under dentist supervision
- Oversee inventory management and ordering of dental supplies
Qualifications
- Active California Dental Assistant (RDA) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography (Dexis/Sirona) and practice management software
- CPR certification and BLS training
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and HIPAA compliance
- Exceptional communication skills and patient rapport abilities
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
