Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument preparation and patient positioning
- Perform sterilization and disinfection of dental equipment following OSHA protocols
- Take dental impressions and develop X-rays for diagnostic purposes
- Manage patient scheduling and maintain accurate digital records
- Provide chairside support during complex treatments and emergencies
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials
- Educate patients on post-procedure care and oral hygiene practices
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (RDA or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a dental practice
- Proficiency with digital imaging software and practice management systems
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to create patient rapport
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and safety standards
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Valid CPR certification
