Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Perform dental radiography (X-rays) and ensure proper infection control protocols
- Manage patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Maintain dental equipment and sterilization of instruments
- Support front desk operations including appointment scheduling and record management
- Prepare treatment rooms and materials for efficient clinical workflow
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent North Carolina certification
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a dental practice
- Proficiency in dental imaging software (e.g., Dexis, Eaglesoft)
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to calm anxious patients
- CPR certification and current Basic Life Support (BLS) credentials
- Valid North Carolina Dental Assistant license
