Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, cosmetic, and surgical treatments
- Take and develop accurate dental radiographs (X-rays) using digital imaging systems
- Perform infection control protocols and sterilization of instruments per CDC guidelines
- Manage patient records and digital charting in Dentrix/Eaglesoft software
- Prepare treatment rooms, materials, and equipment for efficient patient flow
- Provide post-operative instructions and compassionate patient education
- Assist in inventory management and ordering of dental supplies
Qualifications
- Current DANB or Colorado Dental Assistant certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in a general or specialty dental practice
- Proficiency in digital radiography (CBCT/Panoramic) and dental software
- CPR/BLS certification (must maintain current)
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a patient-first mindset
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
