Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations, extractions, and orthodontic treatments
- Perform chairside duties including instrument transfer, suction management, and patient comfort
- Take and develop diagnostic dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision
- Maintain strict sterilization protocols and inventory control for all instruments
- Manage patient flow and ensure seamless clinic operations
- Prepare treatment rooms and materials before each patient appointment
- Provide post-procedure instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or RDA license in Missouri
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a busy dental practice
- Proficiency with digital radiography and practice management software (Dentrix/Eaglesoft)
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain immediately)
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to put anxious patients at ease
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Valid Missouri driver's license and reliable transportation
