Job Summary:
We are looking for a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced dental setting. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our patients receive the highest quality of care. You will work closely with our dentists and hygienists to create a seamless and positive patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist Dentists: Provide chair-side assistance during examinations and treatment procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Diagnostic Support: Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), as well as impressions, models, and bite registrations.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to OSHA and CDC guidelines to sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and equipment.
- Patient Management: Greet patients, update medical histories, and prepare treatment rooms for procedures.
- Education: Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care instructions.
- Inventory: Maintain accurate records of dental supplies and order necessary materials in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current Texas Dental Assistant (RDA) license and CPR/First Aid certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a dental office setting preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) and X-ray equipment is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to multi-task and maintain high standards of accuracy in a busy environment.
