Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, surgical, and cosmetic treatments
- Perform dental radiography (X-rays) and ensure compliance with OSHA protocols
- Manage patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Sterilize instruments and maintain clinical equipment per CDC guidelines
- Prepare treatment rooms and materials for optimal efficiency
- Take accurate dental impressions and pour study models
- Manage inventory and order dental supplies
- Support front desk operations including scheduling and patient check-in
Qualifications
- Accredited Dental Assistant certification or equivalent experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Texas radiography license (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft)
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and chairside manner
- Strong attention to detail and infection control expertise
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
