Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures with precision and efficiency.
- Prepare treatment rooms, ensuring all instruments and materials are sterilized and organized.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) as directed by the dentist.
- Manage patient records accurately, including updating charts and logging treatment history.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care.
- Monitor patient comfort and safety throughout the appointment.
Qualifications
- Current North Carolina Dental Assistant License or RDA certification.
- Proficiency in dental terminology and chairside assisting techniques.
- CPR and BLS certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association).
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-centric attitude.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform fine motor tasks.
- Previous experience in a general dentistry setting is preferred.
