Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist chair-side during examinations and treatment procedures.
- Take and develop high-quality digital and traditional dental x-rays (DXA).
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient appointments.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
- Maintain strict infection control protocols and sterilization standards.
- Manage patient records and schedule appointments efficiently.
- Assist with administrative duties such as billing and insurance verification.
Qualifications
- Current CDA or RDA certification in the state of Colorado.
- Valid state license to practice dental assisting.
- Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix).
- Strong communication skills with patients and team members.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Previous experience in a general dentistry practice is preferred.
- CPR and BLS certification.
