Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures, including instrument preparation and patient positioning
- Take and develop dental X-rays with precision and care
- Perform sterilization and infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment
- Manage patient scheduling and digital charting using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all supplies are stocked and organized
- Provide post-operative instructions and comfort measures to patients
- Coordinate with front office staff to optimize patient flow and experience
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or X-ray license in Ohio
- Minimum 1 year of clinical dental assisting experience
- Proficiency in dental software (Dentrix/Eaglesoft preferred)
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and infection control standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Valid CPR certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
