Responsibilities
- Chair-Side Assisting: Assist the dentist during examinations, treatments, and procedures with precision and efficiency.
- Patient Care: Ensure patient comfort, manage chair-side duties, and provide post-procedure instructions.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to OSHA and CDC guidelines for sterilization and cross-contamination prevention.
- Dental Radiography: Perform and process X-rays (Panoramic, Periapical) accurately.
- Administrative Duties: Manage patient charts, update medical histories, and handle insurance verification.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and restock dental supplies and equipment to ensure smooth operations.
- Patient Education: Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and post-care instructions.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current RDH or DA license (RDA preferred) in the state of Illinois.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting.
- Skills: Proficient in 4-handed dentistry, dental charting, and impression taking.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-first approach.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain high standards of accuracy in clinical and administrative tasks.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or Saturdays.
