Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to strict health and safety protocols.
- Assist the dentist chair-side during examinations and procedures with precision and efficiency.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while ensuring patient comfort and radiation safety.
- Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care instructions.
- Manage patient records, update charts, and maintain accurate digital documentation.
- Perform chair-side duties including suctioning, drying, and handing instruments.
Qualifications
- Current state Dental Assistant certification or graduation from an accredited dental assisting program.
- Valid Radiology and CPR/First Aid certification.
- Previous experience in a dental office setting (1-2 years preferred).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first approach.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform fine motor skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and reliability.
