Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including restorations, extractions, and orthodontic treatments
- Prepare and sterilize instruments following OSHA protocols
- Take digital X-rays and manage patient imaging systems
- Perform chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques
- Manage inventory and restock operatories with provided equipment
- Administer patient education on oral hygiene and treatment plans
- Maintain digital patient records using practice management software
Qualifications
- Accredited Dental Assistant certification or equivalent experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Experience with digital radiography and practice management software
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols
- Excellent chairside assisting and patient communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple equipment systems simultaneously
- Missouri dental radiography permit (or ability to obtain)
