Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain dental equipment according to OSHA standards
- Assist dentists during procedures including chairside support and four-handed dentistry
- Take and develop digital dental radiographs with provided equipment
- Manage patient records using our advanced practice management software
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide oxide monitoring (certification required)
- Provide post-operative instructions and ensure patient comfort throughout visits
- Order and inventory dental supplies while maintaining organized equipment storage
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification or X-ray license in Kansas
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with digital radiography and practice management software
- Excellent chairside assisting techniques and infection control knowledge
- Strong communication skills for patient education and team collaboration
- CPR certification and willingness to maintain BLS certification
- Attention to detail in equipment maintenance and sterilization protocols
- Positive attitude and commitment to exceptional patient experiences
