Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures using provided advanced equipment
- Perform dental radiography and digital imaging with provided technology
- Maintain sterile environments and sterilize instruments using autoclaves
- Prepare treatment rooms and materials before patient appointments
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and equipment
- Educate patients on post-treatment care and oral hygiene
- Coordinate scheduling and patient records using digital systems
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or DANB certification required
- Active Louisiana dental assistant license
- Experience with digital radiography and practice management software
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
- Ability to manage multiple procedures in fast-paced environment
